The historical "Ladies' Association of Kalamata" was founded in 1910, and for its contribution, it has been awarded by the Academy of Athens. Every year, the Association organises a series of cultural activities, such as speeches, educational trips, participation in exhibitions, etc.
In September 2022, the association supported the exhibition held at the Spiritual Centre of Kalamata in the context of the commemorative events for the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Disaster. In fact, it offered the Minutes of the Association for the exhibition to be achieved. This historical element records essential moments of the city's people since 1910, such as the efforts to help the refugees who settled in Kalamata in 1923.
