The Philosophical Centre of Messina is located at a focal point of the city. It is a two-storey building, a place of culture, where a series of events are held, such as speeches, conferences, book presentations, photo exhibitions, etc.
The Municipality of Messina's original goal was to establish a “Foundation for Research and Publications of Modern Greek Philosophy” branch. However, the creation of a municipal library and a municipal conservatory is planned after the completion of the works. Theatrical performances are held in the garden theatre of the Philosophical Centre of Messina (in the context of the "Cultural Summer"). At the same time, the Messina Theater Workshop (TH.E.M.) is also hosted in the building.
