Messinia Union

The shop "mu" is the "child" of the Agricultural Cooperative "Union of Messinia" and its name derives from the English translation of the distinctive title (Messinia Union).

The store is located in the centre of Kalamata, at 10, Iatropoulou Street, in the privately owned premises of the Cooperative, where the Administrative Services, the Farmers’ Service Center and the Peloponnese Beekeeping Center are hosted by the Union of Messinia.

It was created with the aim of promoting the products of the Cooperative but also to make them accessible to the Messinians, the visitors of the city and everywhere, since they carry out shipments, in and out of Greece, of numerous cooperative and local products. Giving space to producers who find it difficult to position themselves in big chainstores but also bring products from Cooperatives across the country to Messinia they promote the idea that a standardized, certified Cooperative product can be an extrovert flagship for the rural economy.

Main image on the shelves, of course, Messinia with PDO Kalamata Olive Oil, PDO Kalamata Olives, Black Raisins, Dried Figs, Honey from local producers, local varieties of bottled wine, peanut butter, by local cooperatives, local producers' rice, all standardized and certified.
